The cattery members are Quito from Imladris Cattery, Hannah and Ilvy from Lormeril Cattery and Obsession from Sultan Chan Cattery followed by its founders me, Irina Preda and her husband Andrei Preda, both students at the University of Architecture in Vienna.
Along the time me and my husband had a lot of pets around us, mostly cats of course. Lately we had a very boring and rather introverted housecat. So one day we decided to search for a better one. We wanted the new cat to meet the following criteria: she should be affectionate, intelligent and have an healty social behavior. We, of course, then started digging into the whole cat breeds and gathering information about their different temperament, character and other interesting things like their historical emergence. After this long and thorough analysis we finaly decided that the Siamese or its ralative the Oriental Shorthair would be just perfect for us. A very short time after we got Quito (Imladris Cattery) who is an oriental short hair and who we loved from the beginning, because of the esthetic which include the gigantic ears, the slim but at the same time very strong body line , his head profile with the straight nose and the green expresive eyes. Later on we also noticed that everything we've read concearning his character was also true. The way he looks, his voice and in more general terms the way he communicates with us is just unbelieveable. He is also always around us playing his games but is never jumping over the horse, like we like to say in Romania, which means that he knows exactly what he is not allowed to do and how far he can go. He ,and of course what we saw from our other cats, likes to be clean and takes care of his toilet in such a way that you will never smell or see a "thing". To cut the long story short he has brought a lot of happiness upon us, so we decided to give him something back and bought our second cat Hannah (Lormeril Cattery), since we've heard that this breed can suffer from depression if let alone to long (and as working-studends this unfortunately happens easily). By that time our interest in the Oriental Shorthair Cats growed so much that it was easy to make the decision to become breeders ourselves. We soon found our third cat (also Lormeril Catery) and with a little bit of luck Obsession (from Sultan Chan Cattery) fell in our hands short time after that.
